Technology showrooms like Huawei's face a familiar constraint: visitors arrive continuously, move through displays at different speeds, and often need explanations in more than one language. Relying on staff to narrate each zone in real time makes it difficult to keep the experience consistent, especially during busy periods.
YingMi's I7 automatic induction guide system, installed at the Huawei showroom on October 29, 2019, was built to solve exactly this problem. Rather than requiring a guide to walk visitors through each display, the I7 uses RFID sensing to detect when a visitor carrying the receiver enters a specific zone and automatically plays the corresponding audio content — no button presses, no manual cues. When the visitor moves to the next area, the device recognizes the new RFID point and switches content on its own, so the commentary follows the visitor's actual path through the exhibition rather than a predetermined script.
This automatic, location-based approach fit naturally with how a corporate showroom operates: product zones are fixed, but visitor flow is not. Each display could carry its own preloaded explanation, ready to trigger the moment someone approached, which meant the experience stayed consistent regardless of how many visitors passed through or how quickly they moved.
The deployment illustrates how the I7's core strength — automatic, hands-free content delivery — extends beyond traditional tourism settings into corporate and technology exhibition environments, where a self-guided, professional presentation matters as much as the underlying content itself.
